The EHEDG network is open to companies, universities, institutes and individuals, and comprises more than 1,300 main contact persons, supported by many thousands of staff resources, who are the representatives of

Company Membership
EHEDG is grateful for the continued support of its company members and member institutes who are essential to help achieve the long-term goal of assisting in the prevention of food hygiene problems by the application of hygienic engineering. These companies and organisations are committed to the highest standards of food safety and strive to improve the overall image of the industry in the eyes of the consumer. The use of the EHEDG company member logo is a statement of this commitment.
Through the EHEDG network the companies can promote their views in as far as they support the EHEDG objectives and they can influence trends and earn international recognition for their efforts.
Benefits:
- Company members are authorized to use the EHEDG Company Member logo under agreed conditions. Note that the logo may not be used in a way of mistakenly implying EHEDG certification.
- Companies initially avail of at least one up to four free main contact persons. Additional persons can be listed later on for active or corresponding Working Group membership and active involvement into the EHEDG regional activities
- Publication of the company logo and name on the EHEDG website, conference programs, brochures, etc.
- Hyperlink from the EHEDG website to the company website
- Whole series of the EHEDG Guidelines in all language versions including updates for free download by all staff members
- Discount or waiver of registration fees for EHEDG sponsored events
- Discount on EHEDG training course participation
Company contributions are based on the annual turnover in food-related business and range from EUR 500 to 10,000.

Institute Membership
Institute members are representatives of
- Research institutes and research centres
- Associations and non-profit organisations
- Governmental and public health authorities
Institute Members are granted the same benefits as Company Members. Due to the nature of these organisations, they benefit from a reduced annual membership fee of €500 and may nominate up to five individual members.

Institute Members are authorised to use the EHEDG Institute Member logo under agreed conditions. Please note that the logo may not be used in a way that could mistakenly imply EHEDG certification.
Additional benefits include:
- Nomination of up to five contact persons within the organisation;
- Participation in EHEDG Working Groups and Regional Section activities;
- Publication of the institute logo and name on the EHEDG website, conference programmes, brochures and related communication materials;
- Hyperlink from the EHEDG website to the institute website;
- Access to the complete series of EHEDG Guidelines in all available language versions, including updates, for free download by nominated staff members;
- Discounts or waivers on registration fees for EHEDG-sponsored events;
- Discounts on EHEDG training course participation.

NEW! University Membership
The EHEDG University Membership programme is designed specifically for universities and higher education institutions seeking to integrate industry-relevant hygienic design and food safety knowledge into their educational programmes.
University Membership supports collaboration between academia and industry and helps prepare the next generation of hygienic design professionals.
The annual membership fee is €100 and includes access for up to five lecturers/professors per institution.
Benefits:
Participating universities gain access to a range of valuable opportunities:
- The integration of EHEDG’s extensive knowledge base, including 60+ Guidelines, White Papers and Position Papers, into Food Safety and Hygienic Design curricula;
- Free access to the EHEDG e-learning platform for relevant student cohorts, including individual certificates issued upon successful completion of modules, that can be shared on LinkedIn;
- Enhanced student engagement through initiatives such as:
- the EYE Mentorship Programme;
- Summer School programmes;
- networking opportunities at regional events;
- research poster competitions and student-focused activities at EHEDG events such as the World Congresses;
- dedicated communication channels, including the GenEHEDG newsletter
Participating lecturers may integrate EHEDG materials into educational programmes in accordance with established educational-use principles and intellectual property protection requirements, following the signing of the EHEDG Educational Use and Intellectual Property Agreement.
The institution logo will be displayed in our members list just like the other member organisations.

Individual Membership
An individual EHEDG membership is for individual students (whose University is not already an EHEDG member – please consult our list of members) and retired professionals only. If you are not retired, please apply using the company or institute membership form. If the University you are enrolled in is already an EHEDG member, please contact us at office@ehedg.org.
All individual members receive:
- a 50% discount when purchasing the EHEDG guidelines;
- general information and updates about EHEDG;
- membership discounts on selected publications and events;
- the opportunity to join a Regional Section and its activities.
The individual membership fee is €100 p.a.This fee is considered as an annual minimum contribution which will be charged after receipt of the application, regardless of its date of receipt. Subsequent membership invoices will be issued in the first quarter of a year for the whole calendar year. Membership will be automatically extended from one year to another if not cancelled before 30 September for the following year.
