Elastomeric Seals | EHEDG Working Group Update
The EHEDG Working Group 'Elastomeric Seals' officially began the revision of Guideline 48, which was published in 2023. After convening for the first time in its new line-up last November in Amsterdam, the group collected feedback on the current version of the document. This input formed the foundation for the ongoing revision, further developed during the second face-to-face meeting at the EHEDG Head Office. The focus: to highlight and expand on key content related to seal effectiveness and hygienic design principles of static elastomeric seals, while also streamlining the document for improved clarity and accessibility. The group is motivated to have the first draft of the revised Guideline ready by the end of 2025.
A special thanks to the Chair of the Working Group, Eva Fleischmann (Freudenberg PSealing Technologies), and members Maik Bluhm (same company), Giovanni Valente (Angst+Pfister), Eric Partington (Nickel Institute), Pär Ström (Tetra Pak Processing Equipment), Sebastian Maximilian Wilhelm (Neumo) and Vanessa Amani (EHEDG).
