EHEDG Regional Section Switzerland Holds Annual Meeting

The EHEDG Regional Section Switzerland successfully hosted its Annual Meeting on the 20th of May, combining the General Assembly with a full day dedicated to technical discussions and practical demonstrations, particularly centred around equipment used in the dairy industry.

The day commenced with the General Assembly, where participants reviewed activities carried out since the last session. Key open topics were addressed, and members provided constructive feedback to guide future improvements, especially when it comes to broaden upcoming events. One suggestion gaining traction was the development of a dedicated Congress around a specific hygienic design topic.

The technical part of the event provided attendees with in-depth insights into advancements in hygienic equipment. Highlights included:

  • A presentation series focused on laboratory and inline process analytical technologies, with a strong emphasis on pH inline measurement systems tailored for the dairy sector.
  • A Mettler-Toledo factory tour in Greifensee, featuring demonstrations of scales and product inspection systems designed to meet the stringent hygienic requirements of food production environments.

These practical sessions helped translate technical concepts into tangible applications, reinforcing EHEDG's mission of promoting hygienic engineering solutions.

As the EHEDG Regional Section Switzerland looks ahead, the focus remains on strengthening engagement, exploring new formats for knowledge exchange, and continuing to support hygienic design excellence in the food industry.
