EHEDG Advanced Training course in Shanghai: Hygienic Design and more

The EHEDG China regional section organised a captivating 3 day-training in Shanghai at the Shanghai Institute of Technology from Monday, November 20th to 23rd.

 

The training was an advanced course with 76 people joining. Most of the participants were from food manufacturers (Mondelez, Oatly, Yili, Herun Dairy, Weilong Food, etc...), equipment producers (JCN, Kunshan Xinlai, ABB), and material suppliers (Ecolab, Blucher, etc...). The course was delivered by EHEDG-authorised trainers such as Dr. Alan Frijs, Yi Xu, Eric Wang and experts in the industry including Wuhan light industry design institute, Unilever Shanghai research centre, as well as Blucher Dubai to share how to meet hygienic design standard with EHEDG principle.

 

On the first two days, participants had a chance to go through all the important topics such as hazards in hygienic engineering, building and processing layout, material of construction, chemical treatment for stainless steel surfaces, etc.

 

 

Besides the theory part,  EHEDG China arranged a manufactory inspection at JCN on the last day including the EHEDG-certified pumps and valves, to demonstrate what it should be in real life. To boost the hygienic spirit higher and higher, JCN opened their production line for everyone to inspect any unhygienic points that can be found.

 

 

The EHEDG advanced training course in Shanghai ended with satisfactory and positive feedback from the participants. “We’re very much interested in this training and hygienic design, we requested our equipment suppliers to come to participate together, to grow together”, said the Weilong Food representative.
