In order to follow up on a sustainable worldwide growth, EHEDG applies a clear policy for new Regional Section approvals based upon:
- definition of the EHEDG regional priorities
- assessment of the applicants (e.g. characteristics of the region, size of Food and machinery sectors, applicant entity, chair, management, resources etc.)
- evaluation including scoring criteria (minimum thresholds, stages, interaction with the applicant)
- final decision for acceptance of a new Regional Section by the EHEDG Executive Committee upon recommendation of Sub-Committee Regional Development.
After having successfully passed the above steps, a new Regional Section is officialized by signing a contract with EHEDG (Regional By-Laws).
EHEDG may provide initial funding for the establishment of new Regional Sections.
The following new Regional Sections are currently in the course of formation:
- New Zealand
- South Africa
- South Korea
The local experts are highly dedicated to the mission of EHEDG and are committed to spreading and disseminating the EHEDG know-how in their countries.
