Why Hygienic Design needs to become a part of education

When engineers graduate from university, they are highly qualified to solve the complex engineering challenges the food industry demands. They are expected to be able to design and build innovative and safe machinery. Yet in spite of their high level of education, most of them have never heard about hygienic design, as it’s still not a mandatory part of their degree course.
